HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGGIE!

Today, February 24th, is the day that Maggie was born and today she is 10 years old. We are so proud of the young lady that she has become and hope that she has a wonderful birthday. Maggie is busy with homeschooling and I'm sure she is her Mommy's big helper with all her siblings. She has learned to knit recently and is teaching some of her cousins to knit. We love you Maggie and hope you have a fun birthday!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Rog brought these 2 dozen red and pink roses home for me for Valentine's Day several days ago. They are beautiful! It is good he did not wait until today to get them because he caught the sickness that came into our home and has not been anywhere for a couple of days. We are just enjoying time together by the fireplace which is a special valentine's day for us.

IT WASN'T ON GOD'S CALENDAR

As we choose what God has planned for us, sometimes we find that what we have planned drastically changes. That has happened the last few days at our home. June arrived on Tuesday with her children and planned to meet up with Damon on Wednesday night to go to CO with a group from their church to ski. We planned to take care of our grandkids for several days. On Wednesday she got word from Damon that he was sick. He decided to call her later and let her know if he got better and would still come. Later he called and said he would not be coming with the group but maybe they could go by themselves the next day. Molly was sick at our house and just as they decided to plan to leave on Friday morning, Eli was in the bathroom throwing up. So a change of plans again. Eli did not get over it fast(5x throwing up) and very shortly, grandpa was sick as well. June and I were just hoping that we could avoid the bug. Susan and her children were here too so this fun stuff could spread a little farther:( I think there were pans by every kid during the night. About 3 a.m. we were awakened by Maggie getting sick so it was really kind of a nightmare around here. At 8 a.m. this morning June decided to make a run for home so we began cleaning up everything and loading the car (buckets and all:) I think she was on the road by about 10 a.m. and was able to drive straight through without incident. PTL! June had prayed about going and all so I guess the Lord made it clear what she should do.

The cousins always have so much fun together but last night some of them had their noses down in their T-shirts because they didn't want the germs. We are sorry we didn't get to enjoy the time with our grandkids in a better way and that June & Damon didn't get some time away but I guess this get-a-way wasn't on God's calendar. We'll try again June & Damon.

Below are a few pictures that we took while they were here. Molly wanted her Daddy because he comforts her when she is sick and she cried for him a lot. This picture was taken when she was feeling better.

Maggie has learned to knit and her cousins wanted to learn how too so she was helping them and they all were having a great time sitting and talking and knitting.
