OUR OLDEST GRANDCHILD

Today Taylor is celebrating his 17th birthday. He had all of our attention for a few years before the flood of grandchildren came. His smile is contagious and he has his two brothers looking up to him with pride. I see him always trying to be helpful. We love you Taylor and are praying for you as you soon will be facing many decisions for your future. We pray you will have a good birthday even though I just talked with you and you will be working at jobs all day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

OUR 42nd ANNIVERSARY

Enjoying dinner at the Grand Central Hotel Restaurant

Roses from Rog

We were married 42 years ago and the weather was very much the same as it is today. It was misting this morning and is cool, cloudy, and breezy now.
Below you see the old(over 100 yrs. old) hotel, The Cottage House, in Council Grove where we are staying.

This has been a very special get-a-way for us reminiscing over the years and praying about the days to come.

MEMORIAL DAY WITH FAMILY

Look out Eli - here comes Micah

Susan was always trying to keep things cleaned up and organized
Roger was the chef at the grill and did a super job

The picture below is taken from the upstairs of everyone relaxing after swimming
Great Grandma was given the comfy chair and enjoyed watching all the commotion - Aunt Liz was with us too
We appreciate Roger & Dee Dee's hospitality to have our large family invade their home in Blue Springs - Thanks guys! It's always so fun to get together.

The guys had quite the basketball game going in the water
I think if you talked to them the next day that most of them had some sore muscles

The younger ones had a wonderful time with all their cousins

Maggie

The Moms were just trying to keep track of all the little ones
It was wet and cool out so not so inviting for me or my girls

Hudson was ready to get warmed up and rest

Not sure what kind of meeting is going on here but I think it was friendly:)

Meryn & Meredith were having fun with Greg

All the grandkids love to have grandpa's attention in the water

MEMORIAL DAY

Today, May 25, we went to Salina to put flowers on Dad's grave.

MY DAD WENT TO HEAVEN TONIGHT

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."

My Daddy went to be with his Lord and Savior at 11:10 p.m. on May 14. He loved to sing praises to the Lord he loved and this morning he is singing in heaven and there is much rejoicing. We will miss him here but we are so glad that he is well and with his Savior and with his family who have gone on before him. Thanks to all who prayed for him but continue to pray for Mom. We are so thankful that she is with us.
