FORTY-ONE YEARS
Today Rog and I are celebrating forty-one years of marriage. We are in Kansas City for a couple of days and this morning we went to a park and spent some time thanking the Lord for the ways He has blessed us. We are very grateful for God's care over the years and for all who have ministered to us along the way. We are grateful for our six children and their families, for our 23 grandchildren, for the health He has given us, and for the Christian parents who raised us. We are thankful that God has kept us seeking and serving Him. On this day of our anniversary, we wish to affirm the message we sang on May 27, 1967; "O may our lives be to Thy praise dear Father, in all we do may Thou be magnified . . . To glorify Thee, this is our prayer!" God is good!

ANOTHER FAST AND FUN WEEKEND
We went to KC this weekend to join our children in their monthly get together. They met at June's house and had the meal across the street at a park. Twenty grandchildren were there so the park was a busy place. It was very windy so we had to hang on to our plates and food. It didn't take long after we finished our meal to wander over to June's house so we could get in out of the wind. The cousins had a great time playing together. We had an enjoyable time and are grateful that our kids get together like that.
Below you see some of the things the kids were doing. They played the wii.Brittany was helping the little ones with the doll house.

The next morning June and I were going to ride our bikes on the prairie punisher course but it was raining and had stormed during the night so we had to cancel that. We headed back to Hutch by mid-morning. Thanks kids, we had a great time.
It just happened that Phil & Julie left Gardner the same time we did so we stayed together on the trip home. When we got home, the fun started again with the Veer and Lanker cousins playing together.
The boys are playing ball.
The girls made a rainbow on the sidewalk.
Swinging is always popular.

When the adults aren't there to run the zip line, the kids take over and make it work. Malia & Meryn enjoy it. They get on a ladder and push each other up the line and move out of the way.

IT'S BIRTHDAY TIME AGAIN
Dawson is eight years old today. He is really going to enjoy his birthday because he is out of school already so he can play all day. Dawson has a sensitive and sweet spirit about him and we pray he will grow up to love and serve the Lord. We love you Dawson and hope you have a fun day.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

THE PAINTING CREW - HOME IMPROVEMENT
Today Greg & Susan & Meryn and Rog left for Kansas City to help Phil and Julie with the painting of their house. It is a big job and because of the height of it, it helps to have those that the height does not bother. Greg wanted to help with the high part and it looks like Rog was right up there with him. Those are some mighty long ladders. I think I heard that Phil had scheduled some kind of a lift to get the guys up high but ended up canceling it because they were handling it like a couple of monkeys. Bet they sleep good tonight. Pray for their safety.
Susan and Meryn went along so my girls get to be together some and the cousins as well. I have the 3 boys here in Hutch with me so we are having a good time here.(Doesn't mean we wouldn't love to be there too)
