THIRD BORN CELEBRATES 36 YEARS

Thirty-six years ago, I gave birth to my biggest baby, June - she was 9 lbs. and 1 oz. and 22 inches long. Everyone that saw her in the nursery wondered why that baby was still there and could not believe she was a newborn. She was 2 weeks late so I'm sure that explained the size.

I'm realizing that I spend so much time taking pictures of my grandchildren that I cannot find a picture of my own kids for my birthday blogs so they have to put up with what few I have to choose from. Evan was with his Mommy for this one so he is included for free:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUNE!

TABLE FULL AND MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR

Happy Thanksgiving to all our family and friends. We didn't have all our children and grandchildren at home but Roger and DeeDee and their 4 children, Phil and Julie and their 4 children, Greg and Susan and their 4 children, and Greg's brother Jason & Heather and their 2 girls, Liz, Jim & Sondy, and Mom & Dad were all here for our big Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. We had 29 at our table (14 children) so it was a full house. What a blessing to have family and friends with lots of good food. Today we are watching the snow fall so winter is finally here. It was beautiful jogging and walking in the snow this afternoon.

A BIG CELEBRATION

We had a wonderful birthday celebration for Dad's 90th birthday last Sunday. We had a reception at the Grand Prairie Hotel for 2 hrs. and close to 100 people stopped by. It was a special blessing for Dad to visit with friends and family.

THE HONORED GUESTS

Dad & Mom with their 3 children
Mary - Jim - Elizabeth

Grandpa & Grandma Tucker with their 6 grandchildren
Roger - Susan - Elisa - June - Julie - John

The great grandkids wanted to get on with the party (Meryn - Caleb - Trevin)

Below is the Cake with a picture of Dad in the wheatfield from the Salina Journal in 1961

The granddaughters served the cake(Elisa, Susan, Julie and June(not pictured)

A table of memories

Roger drove from KC and brought all of his siblings except for Susan who lives here. The great grandkids didn't get to come except for these 2 cuties. Brooklyn(6 mo.) & Raegan(3 mo.) did very well throughout the day. Susan's 4 children were here because they live here.

FALL CLEANUP WITH LOTS OF HELP

We decided to clean up the cana bed and the pine needles and pine cones that cover the ground in the back corner of our back yard. The grandkids are always wanting to rake for us so we had them help us with our project. Rog, Susan, and myself were busy getting the work done and keeping the grandkids going after the first 10 minutes. They really did do a good job.

Molly was swinging while watching us

I was cutting down the canas and the grandkids were piling them up.

The pine needles and pine cones are underneath all the canas.

Molly fell asleep about just before lunch time while playing. Must be exhausted to have the hard wood floor for a pillow.

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY BOY - COOPER SHAW NEIR

Today is Cooper Shaw Neir's 4th Birthday. He keeps busy and sometimes keeps the rest of the family busy. We love you Cooper and hope you have a very Happy Birthday.

THE GANGS ALL HERE AGAIN!

When we heard that June was facing some medical procedures, we called and offered to take her children for her so that they would not have to make arrangements for each day.(besides the fact that we love to have them with us) We met Damon in Emporia on Tuesday evening and brought their 5 children back to Hutch with us. We have had lots of fun and are keeping very busy but would not trade it for the world. Then today, Phil came down to help Greg on his roof project for the day and brought Malia & Meredith with him. Oh do the cousins have a time! The girls outnumbered the boys and they played hard all day. Malia showed us some of her gymnastics she has learned and some of the others showed us what they learned from Malia. I think our neighbors enjoy watching all the activity around here because we usually have our cars at the end of the driveway so the little ones won't get to the street and our driveway is humming with children and toys.

The big blue van is always a favorite and they can pack several kids in it.

Damon & June's kids said they wanted clogs and so gramma said, "Let's go shopping!" While we were at the store, one of them commented that he didn't have more than one pair of pajamas:) Must have thought it was a good time since gramma was in the shopping mood.

Molly is always busy but very quiet - cute as a bug too!

A couple of the boys(Trevin & Micah) relaxing with grandpa

Just before Phil left about an hour ago, I was reading a book to the smaller ones.

Above is the fire crew - they wore these hats a lot today - it was a beautiful day so they were able to play outdoors a lot too.

MORE FAMILY TIME

Avery and her little sister Raegan (2 and a half mo. old)

On Thursday night, John & Elisa brought me back to Hutch. I was sad to leave Ella & baby Hudson but I was needed at home again. John & Elisa & family were coming so Johnny could help Greg tear off his old roof and put a new roof on their house. They worked hard all weekend and we grandmas and grandpas enjoyed all the grandkids that were here.
