GRAMMA NEIR WITH BABY HUDSON

Monday morning I came to KC to meet my new grandson, Hudson. I am enjoying my time with John, Melanie, Ella, and Hudson. He is one sweet baby and baby and Mommy are doing great. We love you Hudson and thank God for another healthy grandbaby.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM, GRANDMA, & GREAT GRANDMA

This morning Mom & Dad went to church and then we went to the airport for Mom's birthday dinner. Yesterday the bouquet of flowers shown below were delivered to Mom from Dad for her birthday. Mom celebrates 87 years today. We love you Mom and thank God that we can be with you in these later years to celebrate the good times and encourage through the tough times.

Yes, we have a new grandson and we want to wish him a Happy Birthday. Melanie was to go to the hospital to be induced early this morning but baby had other plans. She went into labor at home last evening and by late evening they headed for the hospital. They kept her and at 3:45 a.m. little Hudson was born - weighing in at 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. Congratulations John & Melanie and we can't wait to see him and hold him. We love you all!

TREVIN - EIGHT YEARS OLD TODAY

Trevin is celebrating his 8th birthday today. I know he took treats to school and I know he has some presents coming. We have lots of fun with Trevin since he is 1 of our 4 grandkids that lives here in Hutch. We hope you have a really fun birthday Trevin and we love you very much.

MORE FUN STUFF - K'NEX

K'nex are used to build all kinds of toys and the grandkids have a lot of fun building with them. They kind of go in spurts - they will play with them for hours and use everything I have - so I ordered a bunch more so they wouldn't run out - and then they will go for days away from the k'nex. They are doing really well at putting together some interesting objects. They have made playgrounds and all kinds of vehicles and machinery. I don't put any of it together but I spend hours taking them apart and my fingers are sore for several days. I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into building with the K'nex.

It's a real mess sometimes but they are busy and quiet for hours.

There are several instruction manuals but I find that the kids are pretty creative in figuring out how to build a lot of it on their own.

OVER THE WEEKEND

We had a fun weekend beginning last Thursday when June and her 5 children arrived. Of course the Lanker kids are thrilled when some of the cousins come to town and Grandpa & Grandma are even more delighted to see more grandkids.


Below you can see that the cousins have fun even if there is only one computer available.


Eli has a lot of serious looks but you can get a smile pretty easily too.

Maggie was enjoying one of the new wiggle cars.

The little ones are always drawn to the bird bath and Molly was no exception. She loved picking up rocks and dipping them in the water and then licking the rock.

Micah celebrated his 7th birthday last Friday while he was here and we had a lot of fun that day. He had some yummy cupcakes and ice cream and opened lots of gifts.

Someone even wrote happy birthday to him with the sidewalk chalk in the driveway.

Sweet little Molly - always has a smile for you and is ever wandering around enjoying the outdoors.

The weekend was over as quickly as it came and that's what happens when you are having fun!

GRAMMA'S NEW TOY

It was time for another new riding toy so I got one since I had more grandkids coming to enjoy all the fun. It's a Radio Flyer Speedy Pedal car. Eli was the first to try it out and he wanted to wear Caleb's helmet since the picture on the box that the pedal car was in showed a boy wearing a helmet. They have had lots of fun riding bikes, pedal car, scooters, and wiggle cars.

MICAH TURNS SEVEN

Today is Micah's birthday and he is seven years old. We are having a fun time helping celebrate his birthday. He's delighted to have his cousins around too. We are just now having cake and ice cream so I better get out to finish up this special day. We love you Micah!

SOMEONE JUST HIT THE "WONDERFUL TWOS"

Ethan Seaba turned 2 years old today. If you read anything on the Seaba blog, you know that Ethan hit the WONDERFUL 2's several months ago. He spends a lot of time saying "O'tay Mommy" but continues right on with what he is doing. At least he acknowledges that Mommy is talking to him:) Yes, Ethan is a bundle of energy but is a loveable little grandson and 2 year old. We love you Ethan!

MALIA IS 5 YEARS OLD TODAY

Today Malia is 5 years old. She is a sweetheart and we heard she is having a good birthday. Malia is interested in drawing and gymnastics at the present time. We love you Malia!
