Today Rog is celebrating birthday #65. This picture was taken a year ago or so when we were on our Alaskan cruise. We loved the scenery, and all that went with the cruise and the time to relax and enjoy God's creation. God has been good to us and I thank Him for the wonderful husband He has given me. God Bless you, Rog, on this special day!

GRANDBABY # 22 - RAEGAN ELISE SEABA
Resting with Mommy
This is our newest little blessing. Doesn't she look like a bundle of health?! She weighed in at 9 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 inches long. I think that this picture makes her look like her brother Ethan (22 mo). I love all the hair that the Seaba genes bring. I'm sure Elisa will have it styled as soon as she gets home. Congratulations Johnny & Elisa and thanks for another sweet granddaughter!

PAINTING OUR NEW STORAGE SHED
Yesterday morning we started painting our new storage shed and our playhouse. The color is morning fog and it is a gray(even though the picture makes it look like a light blue). I asked Greg and Susan if they wanted to help and so they have been helping us. We have everything done(2 coats) except the trim and we plan to do it in the next couple of days. I'll put a picture on of the two buildings when we are completely finished.

WATERMELON SALE DAY
Today Greg took the kids to their watermelon patch to see if the melons were getting ripe and ready to sell. Sure enough there were several ready to sell so they brought 10 of them to grandpa & grandpa's house to sell on our busy street. Caleb and Maggie and Meryn were the 3 that stayed with it all day in spite of the hot temperatures. They even talked their moms into having a lemonade stand as well. They sold all of them and are ready to bring some more in as soon as their ready.
Trevin, Micah, Caleb, Evan, and Eli were all anxiously waiting for people to stop and buy their watermelons.

GRANDKIDS COME TO VISIT
Rog left Friday morning to go to KC with Greg & Susan and their kids. He planned to go to the Royals game on Friday night with all his sons and sons-in-law. They all went and had a good time but the Royals lost. The next night John & Melanie & Ella took him with them to the second Royals game and that night it was televised so we were able to see him since he was seated right behind home plate and up a few rows. John even brought Ella down so we could see her on television too. The Royals did win their game Saturday night.
Today Rog rode back to Hutchinson with June and her 5 children. They are here to spend a week with us while their house is getting some new carpet. Below you see some new faces in our swimming pool. They were ready to swim when they arrived and spent most of the afternoon in the pool.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELISA & MELANIE!
I might be starting something that I cannot keep up with but I'm sure going to try. I always call each of my children and their spouses and my grandchildren and sing Happy Birthday to them on their birthdays. Now I've decided to share it with the whole world so Elisa & Melanie are the first to be honored. We love you both and pray you will have a great day today and that God will give you many more birthdays to celebrate.(can you guess which one is 26 and which one is 33)

25 YEAR OLD STORAGE SHED TAKEN AWAY
Today was the day that they called and said they were coming to take our old storage shed away. It was put in our yard before the fence was built so no truck had to squeeze through the gate back then. It was purchased in 1982 so has been with us for 25 years and was showing its wear around the bottom edges. We traded the shed in on a new and bigger shed so it will be refurbished and resold as a used storage shed.
Below you see the sturdi-built truck and trailer that came to take it away. The trailer is quite the trailer - it has 2 sets of wheels so it can be moved easily in a small place without much squirming around with the truck - remote control and all. Only one man took care of the whole process.

You see it being loaded onto the truck and Dean Melton was doing it all with a remote in his hands. Below it is on the trailer and is ready to be hauled away.
Below you can see the wheels that are underneath the trailer and when they raise the main trailer wheels up and put the smaller ones down, the whole direction of the trailer can be changed without the truck doing anything.
We had to chop down a few of our cannas so the driver could see where he was at going out through the gate.

WEEKEND SURPRISE
Last Friday night our son, Roger, called us and while visiting asked if we would meet him at Taco Hut and have a bite to eat. We thought he was kidding but he finally convinced his Dad that he would be there at 10:15 so we went. What a nice surprise! On the spur of the moment he decided to come to Hutch with their 3 boys, Taylor, Dawson, & Cooper. It was a quick trip since they had to leave around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday but we had a great time in those few hours.
