BARBER SHOP AT HOME

We have a friend, Bruce, who is a barber and he consented to come to the folks place to cut Dad's hair.

Doesn't he look a little younger?

MUSICAL PIANO

Yesterday, we had a piano tuner here tuning our piano and I forgot to get a picture to show what was going on around here. I thought I would take this opportunity to tell what all has been happening concerning pianos around us lately. About 6 weeks ago, someone decided we needed a new piano in our church so we took Liz with us, since she is the pianist, and began looking for a piano. We found one that was used but in new condition and decided to get it. But while we were in the store, Liz was looking around and fell in love with another one and said that if she could get one of my children to take hers(which was Grandma Tuckers piano that Liz played when she was little), she would buy a new one. So we talked to a few of our kids and June decided that they would take it. The store where we got it said they would take it to KC for us since they would be going that way soon so we thought that was a really good deal.

So Liz has a nice piano, the church has a nice piano, and Damon & June have a nice piano and are looking forward to their kids learning to play it. Yesterday the piano tuner was tuning the church piano, our piano, and Liz's piano. I will try to get a picture sometime soon and show you what they look like.

HEAVY SLOPPY WET SNOW

Here you can see how the tree branch is weighted down with all the icy snow that is accumulating on the trees.

If you look against the fench or the blue on the shed, you can see the big flakes coming down. It was beautiful but just wasn't cold enough to show the 6-8 inches of snow we had.

This is when the rain was turning to snow but it really wasn't cold enough to stick. We just had huge flakes of snow and lots of slushy water everywhere.

I scooped the driveway and the patio today and the slush and snow were so heavy - felt like I was scooping dirt. The lawns were covered the morning but by afternoon, the sun had come out and all the snow was gone. But, there is water everywhere.

EASTER WEEKEND(A Little Late)

Last week my Dad came down with a bad cough and it quickly turned into pneumonia. We took him to the doctor and they told us we could take him home if we felt comfortable with taking care of him and if it got worse, we could put him in the hospital. Fortunately, he is doing much better and we think he will feel better when he gets off the antibiotic as well. Things are going well and we continue to be thankful for the time together with family. We have a lot of good times reminiscing and laughing together. We also are learning many things about the folks lives in the past years that we may have never known without this time together.

SPRING SNOW

In the middle of our beautiful snow, the pansies outside Mom & Dad's patio door are looking great. They are under the overhang on the roof so the snow was landing a ways away.

Dee Dee, Brittany, Dawson, and Cooper are here visiting for a couple of days so Cooper and Meryn are having a good time.

You can see that we had a couple of inches of snow.

Here you can see how wet it was in the midst of the snow.
